International removals are part of what Dave does, and they are handled with the same personal care as a move across town. A family moving abroad, a second home being set up, belongings following you to the Continent — a move like this needs more than a van. It needs proper packing, an inventory, customs paperwork and a planned road route. Dave packs in the UK, loads, and heads for the M25 and the Channel, crossing at Dover or by the Eurotunnel at Folkestone before driving on to the door.

Where Dave moves

Dave runs regular European routes to four countries, each framed as removals to the destination — France, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Every one has its own page setting out the road route, the regions reached and how the paperwork works:

• Removals to France — Paris, Normandy and the south — down to the Channel, over by ferry or Eurotunnel, then onto the French autoroutes.
• Removals to Spain — Madrid, Barcelona and the Costas — the long run down through France to the border, then on to the coast.
• Removals to Italy — Milan, Florence and Rome — a planned road move down through France and over the Alps by the Fréjus or Mont Blanc tunnel.
• Removals to Portugal — Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve — the Atlantic corridor across France and Spain to the far south-west.

Collections across the UK

A move abroad often involves more than one collection — a second home, or belongings held elsewhere. As well as your own address, Dave collects across the UK, from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the regions between, and builds additional collections into the plan rather than leaving you to sort them out. Other European countries are arranged on request.

Customs and paperwork after Brexit

Moving to an EU country is no longer just a drive to the coast. Your goods need a customs declaration and a full inventory, and used household effects can usually come in under transfer-of-residence relief when you are moving your main home and the paperwork is right. Dave prepares the declaration and the transit documents, tells you what to sign and supply, and manages the border so your load is not left waiting.

Homes, part-loads and small moves

Dave moves whole-home contents, part-loads and smaller loads — a few rooms, a student’s belongings, or a single big item. A full home often travels as a dedicated load; a smaller one may share the vehicle with other consignments heading the same way to keep the cost sensible. Furniture is dismantled and protected, fragile things packed with a labelled inventory, and if your dates do not line up, secure storage bridges the gap. Closer to home, there is man and van and house removals.
