Moving house is a big day, and it goes smoothly or it goes wrong depending largely on who you pick. Dave brings the same personal, careful approach to a full house move as to a man-and-van job — just with a bigger van and an extra pair of hands. Whether you are leaving a first flat or a family house, the move is planned, protected throughout, and done by someone you can actually reach.

Talked through, priced honestly

Dave talks the move through with you — in person or over a quick video call — so he can see what is coming and the access at both ends. From it you get a clear, honest price and what it covers, not a rough figure over the phone. You know who is turning up and how the day is planned, well before it arrives.

Protected, wrapped, rebuilt

On the day, floors, doorways and stair carpets are protected before anything is carried through. Furniture is blanket-wrapped and strapped, and beds, wardrobes and flat-pack come apart and go back together at the new home. Fragile and awkward pieces are handled carefully by someone used to them, and Dave keeps you in the loop rather than watching the clock.

Packing and storage, if you need them

If you would rather not box the house yourself, Dave will pack it — or just the fragile things — with a labelled inventory. And if there is a gap between moving out and moving in, secure storage bridges it. For the smaller jobs there is man and van and small moves, and for a move abroad, European removals.

House removals — your questions

Do you move whole houses, or just small jobs?

Both. Dave moves whole homes — a first flat, a family house, or somewhere in between — as well as the smaller man-and-van jobs. For a full house he brings the right van and an extra pair of hands, so it is planned and crewed for the size of the move.

Will you take furniture apart and rebuild it?

Yes. Beds, wardrobes, flat-pack and anything that will not go through a doorway or up a stair whole are dismantled, moved and rebuilt at the new home. It is part of the service, not an extra.

Do you protect the house and the furniture?

Always. Floors, doorways and stair carpets are protected before anything is carried through, and furniture is blanket-wrapped and strapped. Fragile and awkward pieces are handled carefully by someone used to them.

Can Dave pack for us and store our things?

Yes to both. Dave can pack the whole house or just the fragile things, with a labelled inventory, and if there is a gap between moving out and moving in he holds your things in secure storage and brings them back when you are ready. It all folds into one booking.

How does Dave quote a house move?

By talking it through — in person or by a quick video call — so he can see what is coming and the access at both ends, then giving you a clear, honest price and what it covers. No figure guessed on the phone, and a real person to talk it through with.
